Eco-friendly Wedding and Portraiture Photography Actually Saves You Money

It goes without saying that Christy Transier of Transier Photography is committed to creating timeless, beautiful destination wedding and portrait images in Key West, South Florida and Central Florida.  What some might not know is that she’s as equally committed to considering the impact she’s making on the planet and what she can do to create a more conscious and environmentally sustainable photography business.

That’s why Transier Photography is going all out to go green.

What does this ultimately mean for you? Less cost with new simpler and wallet friendly wedding packages, less waste and a softer footprint on our planet. A true win/win for everyone.

Specifically, along with the reduction of costs, most notable is that there will no longer be proof prints automatically included in packages. Too often, all those proofs simply end up in a drawer or a trash bin. That’s the sort of waste we can all do without. Instead, you can view your proofs directly online or via a thumb drive. It’s that easy.

Albums will also no longer be included in packages, replaced by an online album slideshow.

There IS something magical about holding the representation of your special day in your hand. Christy understands that sometimes you prefer to collect your images in an album and eco-friendly albums are available as an add-on in custom packages. Transier Photography has eco-friendly options available through their partner's Pictage.com & Wild Magnolia Designs.  Imagine your wedding images and family portraits printed on canvas, bamboo or giclee, collected together in an album that is not only breathtakingly beautiful but good for the environment, too.

Transier Photography also supports an environmentally responsible and sustainable photography business by:

  • shooting only digitally to prevent the use of harsh chemicals.

  • carbon offsetting their business practices through carbonfund.org.

  • printing their promotional materials with vegetable-based inks and no-VOC solvents on recycled paper.

  • using rechargeable batteries.

  • using socially and environmentally conscious vendors whenever possible.

  • implementing green practices in the office and home.

While Christy has practiced many of these habits regularly for years, these small changes further underline her commitment to being green. And though they may appear small from the outside looking in, when repeated many times over they can make a big difference, on both your pocket and the planet.

When you choose Transier Photography to capture your special day, she will create images that reveal true emotion, love and beauty. You’ll also save money and do your part to help save our environment.
